Penthouse

Penthouse-Private-Large-BalconyPearl of the Sea offers luxury and an outstanding experience while you visit St. Augustine, but if you want even more luxury and the best views in St. Augustine, then you will want to select our Penthouse. What can we say about our 3,500 square foot Penthouse--except that it is fabulous!

Let's start with the kitchen. The marble that decorates the kitchen counter tops was mined in Spain in the 1600s and transported here by the Conquistadors in sailing ships. This marble was salvaged from one of the original homes in St. Augustine, the oldest city in America. The hand-made kitchen cabinets complement the stunning 1600s marble. The kitchen, of course, belongs to the 21st century: It features a gas range with a copper hood, a stainless steel dishwasher and refrigerator-freezer with ice maker, a garbage disposal, and a microwave. The view here is stunning, as the kitchen overlooks the shimmering waters of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Directly off the kitchen is one of our favorite areas, an enclosed patio that offers even more views of the Intracoastal waters and islands. This patio is our favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon or evening glass of wine or beer. From the patio, you step onto the enormous balcony that runs the full length of our building. The balcony is 7 feet wide and 68 feet long. The sunsets from the balcony are magnificent. If you are lucky, from here you can catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the Intracoastal waters.

The kitchen sweeps into the living area. Here you can enjoy the huge leather sectional, which also offers its own magnificent views of the Intracoastal waters and islands. A few more steps take you to the dining area with its gigantic skylight (the largest we have seen in a private residence). Beneath the skylight is a gorgeous round table with six armchairs.

Just off this area is the huge master bedroom with its beautiful bed and couch, antique night tables, and 55-inch high-definition flat screen TV. In the master bedroom, you can luxuriate in your own Jacuzzi. The master bedroom also features a huge walk-in closet and a bathroom with a bidet and walk-in shower. This room, too, offers magnificent views of the Intracoastal waters.

We cannot forget the 1922 restored William Knabe baby grand piano. As you play this piano, even from here you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the Intracoastal waters.

One more feature of the Penthouse: A spiral staircase leads to the rooftop. The views here are even more spectacular, the finest in the entire area. Not only do you get the stunning rooftop views when you rent the Penthouse, but you can also enjoy our rooftop hot tub! It is incomparable to bask in this hot tub under the moonlight drinking a glass of fine wine.

To make your visit to St. Augustine even more memorable, you may want to select Pearl of the Sea’s spectacular Penthouse. There is nothing like it in the area.
